With no great universal pocket transit mount solutions out there, we decided to make our own! This Made-In-USA transit mount is made of super durable PETG, and designed to hold almost every pocket transit out there. This mount will hold our polymer transits (PAM22, PAM22-BLK), our cast aluminum pocket transit (CAP48), and even the polymer and aluminum standard transits from Brunton.
Each mount is outfitted with a 1/4in-20 mounting hole for use with most all standard tripod mounts. But you need to be careful, because most camera tripods are not fully non-magnetic, and will adversely affect your compass reading. That is why we suggest using our new lightweight non-magnetic tripod.
And for the best maneuverability, we also suggest using our non-magnetic Ball-and-Socket Mount. Or you can save money by purchasing this Transit Mount with the Ball-and-Socket Mount as a Complete Transit Mount Kit.
